The Chairman of the Burnie Airport Corporation, Mr Patrick Earle, today welcomed the announcement by QantasLink that the airline will commence operations into the Burnie Airport on the Melbourne-Burnie Route. The service is targeted to commence on Monday 21 June 2021.

The Director of Public Health has determined that, from 1 May 2021 the free Check in TAS App will be the only system to be used for collecting and providing contact tracing information in Tasmania in a number of locations, premises and events, including many which are managed by the Council.

The Burnie Regional Art Gallery supports many artists from our region but it is not often that we have the opportunity to show artists with national and international reputations who also happen to live locally.
Presenting her final honours work for this exhibition, Magnusson-Reid uses installation and assemblage of her soft textile sculpture and recycled material to develop a narrative about female domesticity.
