I now have the opportunity to indulge my passion for fashioning timber into useful and pleasurable items. I enjoy discovering the beauty, character and unknown quality hidden within the individual pieces of timber.

Raymond Hill is a qualified engineer and ran his own business within the aircraft industry during his working life. Although he always enjoyed creating wood artifacts, Raymond , now retired has been able to revisit his hobby from his school days.

With a true love of Tasmanian timbers, Raymond has more recently refined his skills as a very talented woodcrafter and woodturner.

Raymond enjoys the satisfaction of working a piece of timber and transforming it into a unique design. Primarily working with native timbers of Tasmania, Raymond sometimes also creates pieces from exotic timbers from around the world.
