Birds, insects, fish, reptiles and flora are all my inspirations. I have been painting all my life and love the fact I am still learning.

Stephen Wilson likes to work amongst the trees in rural Tasmania where he is surrounded by Tasmania’s natural wildlife.

Stephen also enjoys creating fantasy abstract, impressions, drawings, computer art and photography.

Unaware of his full ability and potential, Stephen paints for his own enjoyment and love of a challenge. Stephen was inspired to focus on watercolour painting after attending a watercolour weekend workshop with Tasmanian artist Nigel Lazenby.

Stephen spent four years working in Aden McLeod’s Sculpture Studio where he was encouraged to be hands with many different projects. This experience is a highlight in Stephen’s career and he is searching for the chance to be a part of a similar opportunity.
