Jaclyn Poke

paper jewellery maker

I think my work is an extension of how I feel about my beautiful surroundings and how we are connected to the coast. I absolutely love creating multiple layers of pattern, colour and texture, particularly using objects found in our natural environment.

Featuring at the Makers’ Workshop as a paper artist, Jaclyn Poke draws inspiration from her seaside surroundings. Her passion is to create pieces from organic forms such as trees, leaves, flowers and mushrooms.

With a recent sea change Jaclyn and her family are now nestled at Sisters Beach. With limited space, Jaclyn found herself experimenting with paper and how she could take something quite ordinary and transform it into beautiful decorative items and jewellery.

I like including uplifting and quirky text on my work, so that it can inspire the wearer to think deeper and see further.
